Mynavi Releases '2026 High School Student Part-Time Job Survey'

Mynavi Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Shunsuke Awai) has announced the results of its '2026 High School Student Part-Time Job Survey,' which targeted 926 high school students aged 15-18 (including 644 who work part-time).

The percentage of high school students currently working part-time is 25.2%, a 2.2-point decrease from the previous year. By grade level, the decline is most evident among 'first-year students at 16.6%' (down 3.9 points) and 'third-year students at 34.9%' (down 3.5 points). Among non-working students, there was a 2.4-point year-on-year increase in responses saying they are 'forbidden by parents/family' in the first year, suggesting that family involvement is a suppressing factor.

Regarding awareness of 'dark part-time jobs,' 41.5% of the total feel they are 'difficult to distinguish,' with students who have no part-time work experience tending to have a higher level of caution. Concerning the balance with studies, about 75% of both working and non-working students feel they are not securing enough time, attributing this to time spent on SNS, smartphones, and hobbies.
