◆ The percentage of students continuing job hunting while holding an unofficial offer is 34.8%, an increase of 5.1pt year-on-year. The activity continuation rate, combining them with those without offers, is 76.2%.

The activity continuation rate*1, combining this with those who do not have an offer, was 76.2% (up 1.1pt year-on-year). Although the unofficial offer rate has increased from the previous year, a similar proportion of students as last year are continuing their job hunt. ◆ Career formation programs such as internships influence students' intention to join the company offering the unofficial offer and their decision on where to work.
When asked what triggered their discovery of the company they currently have the highest intention of joining, 'Job information sites (15.7%)' was the most common, followed by 'Work experience (short-term programs offering work experience) (14.9%)' and 'Internships (programs of 5 days or more) (13.2%)'. Additionally, when students who had decided on their prospective employer were asked when their desire to join increased the most, 'Internships (5 days or more) (20.6%)' was the highest, followed by 'Work experience (18.2%)'. This shows that career formation programs like internships have a significant impact on students' intention to join their unofficial offer provider and their final decision. [Figures 5, 6]

[Survey Researcher's Comment]
The unofficial offer rate for 2027 graduates at the end of March is 58.7%, which is higher than the same period last year, but the percentage of students continuing their activities is 76.2%, which remains unchanged from the previous year. Because of this, I feel it is necessary to focus more on the 'activity continuation rate', which shows how many students are continuing their job hunting, as a more important indicator than the 'unofficial offer rate', which simply shows if they have received an offer. It was also found that internships and similar programs participated in up to February have a significant impact on students' intention to join companies and their final decisions. From these results, it can be said that students are continuing their job hunting while carefully assessing their career paths, based on the experiences gained from their career formation activities so far.
