[Special Interview Released] Architect Yasushi Horibe Discusses the Appeal of Home Saunas.

MySauna Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) launched a new project, "Find Out Japan," on March 26, 2026.

As the first special interview, we had the honor of interviewing Yasushi Horibe, one of Japan's leading architects.

Mr. Horibe always includes "home saunas" in his proposals when designing residences.

He discussed the appeal of home saunas, which he considers essential for modern homes, with an installation rate exceeding "80%."

In 1994, he established Yasushi Horibe Architect & Associates.

In 2002, he received the 18th Yoshioka Award for "Ushiku Gallery."

In 2016, he was awarded the Architectural Institute of Japan Award (Works) for "Chikurin-ji Ossuary."

His notable works include the luxury cruise ship "guntû" (Guntu) that sails the Seto Inland Sea,

the auberge "Satologue" (Satorogu) which renovated an old folk house,

and "Chikurin-ji Ossuary," among other famous architectural projects, while also focusing on residential design.
