Mavericks Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Shota Okuno), the provider of the video generation AI "NoLang," has added four Eastern European and Balkan languages – Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and Greek – to NoLang's video generation capabilities. Users can now select these languages from the language selection menu to generate videos with narration and subtitles in the local language directly from Japanese materials, with the duration automatically adjusted to match the speaking speed. This offers an efficient video production option for companies and municipalities looking to enhance tourism promotions or IR disclosures for Eastern European and Balkan markets, without the need to arrange for translation companies or narrators.

Local Language Support Influences Purchasing Behavior; European Expansion Companies Face Cost Challenges
It is well-known that language barriers pose significant hurdles to purchasing and understanding when companies and municipalities aim to deliver information to consumers and customers overseas. A survey conducted by CSA Research (formerly Common Sense Advisory) of 8,709 consumers across 29 countries found that 76% would "prefer to purchase products if information is provided in their own language," and 40% stated they "would not purchase from a site that only offers content in other languages" (*1). This data underscores that local language content directly impacts information reach, comprehension, and calls to action. The importance of local language support remains unchanged when communicating with regions like Croatia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Greece in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
Furthermore, cost burden is a common management challenge for Japanese companies expanding into Europe. The "FY2025 Survey of Japanese Companies Expanding Overseas (Europe Edition)" (conducted August 20-September 19, 2025, targeting 1,449 Japanese companies expanding into Europe, with 778 valid responses and a response rate of 53.7%) by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) reported that companies expanding into Europe, including Eastern Europe, face numerous management challenges such as high cost structures and compliance with digital regulations (*2). In this context, even attempting to produce video content in-house for Croatia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Greece incurs significant time and cost for outsourcing to translation companies and recording narration. The challenge is that similar burdens arise with each additional language supported.
Against this backdrop, Mavericks, the provider of the video generation AI "NoLang," has strived to further expand its language support by newly enabling four languages from the Eastern European and Balkan regions.

"NoLang" Video Generation Now Supports "Four Eastern European and Balkan Languages," Generatable with a Single Button
With this latest update, the video generation AI "NoLang" has added four new languages to its video generation capabilities: "Hrvatski (Croatian)," "Български (Bulgarian)," "Українська (Ukrainian)," and "Ελληνικά (Greek)." This marks NoLang's first foray into supporting languages from the Eastern European and Balkan regions.
The operation is extremely simple. By simply selecting one of the newly added four Eastern European and Balkan languages from the "Language Settings" menu on the video generation screen, users can immediately create videos in their chosen language. This language selection menu is common across all video generation modes supported by NoLang, including text input, PDF materials, and audio files, allowing users to start producing videos for Eastern Europe and the Balkans without altering their existing workflow.
Generate Eastern European and Balkan Language Videos Simply by Uploading Japanese Materials
NoLang is a service that automatically generates videos with avatars explaining content from various input formats, such as text input, questions, instructions, PDF documents, and audio/video files with audio. By selecting Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or Greek as the output language, videos with local language scripts, narration, and subtitles can be generated directly from Japanese manuscripts or materials.
The newly added four Eastern European and Balkan languages are also supported in each video generation mode, such as "Presenting Materials," "Summarizing Materials," and "Analyzing Materials," which use PDFs as input. This enables the creation of explanatory, summary, or analytical videos that can be directly deployed for Eastern European and Balkan audiences simply by uploading existing Japanese documents like financial reports, product information, or lifestyle/administrative information.
Videos can be created simply by inputting PDFs.
Furthermore, for videos that have already been generated, they can be converted into Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or Greek with a single click using the "Convert" button on the viewing screen. There is no need to recreate videos that were originally created in Japanese.
Videos in other languages can be converted with a single button.
Supports Latin and Cyrillic Scripts; Duration Automatically Adjusted Based on Speaking Speed
Subtitles (captions) displayed in the videos are rendered correctly without distortion using fonts that support the respective character sets: Latin/Greek for Croatian and Greek, and Cyrillic for Bulgarian and Ukrainian.
Moreover, NoLang is equipped with a mechanism that automatically calculates the narration playback time and estimated video duration based on the standard speaking pace for each language during video generation. This feature has also been extended to the newly added four Eastern European and Balkan languages. By adjusting the playback time based on differences in character count and word grouping for each language, it prevents unnatural pauses or overly fast speech, resulting in videos where narration and subtitles flow at a natural tempo.
Four Usage Scenarios from Tourism Promotion to IR Disclosure
With the addition of these four Eastern European and Balkan languages, NoLang can now create videos directly linked to specific use cases from existing Japanese materials.
First, multilingual promotional videos for inbound tourists. By simply inputting the text from existing tourism guides or brochures, promotional videos with narration and subtitles in Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or Greek can be created. This allows for immediate engagement with potential tourists, particularly from Greek-speaking regions where there is high demand for video content during the consideration phase of visiting Japan, without the need for outsourcing to translation companies or arranging narration.
Second, multilingual dissemination of lifestyle and administrative information for foreign residents. By uploading administrative pamphlets or lifestyle guides from municipalities or companies, explanatory videos on lifestyle and administrative information in Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or Greek can be generated. This serves a significant public purpose by making essential information more accessible to foreign residents in the community.
Third, overseas investor relations (IR) disclosure. By simply uploading PDFs of financial reports or other documents created in Japanese and selecting Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or Greek as the output language, explanatory videos for local investors can be completed.
Fourth, product introduction videos for cross-border e-commerce. By inputting text or materials summarizing product specifications and usage instructions, product introduction videos with local language narration and subtitles can be generated and immediately deployed on e-commerce product pages or social media advertisements.
Future Outlook
Mavericks will continue to sequentially expand support for languages with high user demand and for the native languages of foreign communities rapidly gaining presence in Japan. As an "infrastructure for multilingual video production" centered in Japan and Asia, we will continue to support information dissemination that transcends language barriers.
