Mavericks Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Shota Okuno, President and CEO), the provider of the video generation AI "NoLang", has added "Swedish", "Danish", and "Finnish" to its video generation capabilities. Users can simply select the desired language from the menu to generate videos with narration and subtitles in the local language directly from Japanese materials, with the video length automatically adjusted to match the speaking speed. This offers an efficient video production option for companies looking to enhance their IR, marketing, and EC communications for the Nordic market without the need for translation companies or narrators.
Growing Demand for Local Language Video Content in Digitally Advanced Nordic Countries
The Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Finland) is a region with an exceptionally high digital penetration rate globally. According to World Bank statistics, Sweden's internet usage rate was 95.7% (2023) and Denmark's was 99.8% (2024), both among the highest in the world (※1). As companies and local governments strive to deliver information to their residents and customers, the importance of digital content is increasing year by year. However, content solely in Japanese or English has limitations in penetrating these markets.
The language barrier is widely known as a significant hurdle to purchasing and understanding in global expansion. A survey by CSA Research (Common Sense Advisory) of 8,709 consumers across 29 countries found that 76% "want to buy products that are provided in their own language," and 40% "will not buy from sites that are only in other languages" (※2), underscoring that information provided in the local language directly leads to understanding and action.
On the other hand, the hurdles for companies to localize content for overseas markets are not insignificant. The "2025 Survey of Japanese Companies Expanding Overseas (Europe Edition)" (conducted August 20-September 19, 2025, targeting 1,449 Japanese companies expanding into Europe, with 778 valid responses, a response rate of 53.7%) by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) reported that companies expanding into Europe, including the Nordics, face numerous management challenges such as high cost structures and compliance with digital regulations (※3). In this business environment, localizing videos and documents typically requires outsourcing to translation companies and arranging for narrators. Companies without specialized systems tend to feel the burden of time and cost.
Video content has recently gained attention as a means to overcome these challenges. By intuitively conveying content across language barriers, its applications are steadily expanding, including disclosure of IR information to overseas investors, overseas marketing, and cross-border e-commerce. As similar needs are expected to grow in the highly digitized Nordic market, Mavericks, the provider of the video generation AI "NoLang", is working to further expand its supported languages.

"NoLang" Video Generation Now Supports "3 Nordic Languages", Generation Possible with Simple Selection
With this latest update, "Svenska (Swedish)", "Dansk (Danish)", and "Suomi (Finnish)" have been newly added to the video generation functions of the video generation AI "NoLang".
Operation is extremely simple. By selecting one of the newly added Nordic languages from the language selection menu provided on the video generation screen, users can create avatar videos in the selected language as is. The key feature is that users can immediately start producing videos for the Nordic market without changing their existing workflow.
Nordic Language Videos Completed by Simply Uploading Japanese Materials
This language selection mechanism is applied universally across all video generation modes supported by NoLang, including text input, PDF materials, and audio files. In NoLang, which can automatically generate avatar explainer videos from various input formats such as text-based questions/instructions, scripts, PDF documents, and audio/video files with audio, simply choosing Swedish, Danish, or Finnish as the output language will result in a video with a local language script, narration, and subtitles based on the original Japanese manuscript or materials.
The "Present PDF Materials," "Summarize PDF Materials," and "Analyze PDF Materials" modes, which generate videos from PDFs, also support the newly added three Nordic languages. By simply uploading existing Japanese documents such as financial reports or product information, they can be directly converted into explainer videos, summary videos, or analysis videos for the Nordic market. For example, by uploading a financial results presentation material created in Japanese and selecting Swedish as the output language, an explainer video ready for disclosure to local investors can be completed without outsourcing to a translation company or arranging for a narrator.
Automatically generate videos from PDF
Furthermore, NoLang allows for the conversion of already generated videos into other languages. Videos initially generated in Japanese can be easily converted to Swedish, Danish, and Finnish using the conversion button located below the video playback screen.

Video Length Automatically Adjusted According to Speaking Speed for Each Language
Subtitles (captions) displayed in the video are rendered correctly without distortion using fonts that support the Latin script for Swedish, Danish, and Finnish.
Additionally, NoLang is equipped with a mechanism that automatically calculates the narration playback time and estimated video length based on the standard speaking pace for each language during video generation. This feature has also been newly applied to Swedish, Danish, and Finnish. Different languages have different text volumes and phrase structures even when conveying the same content. This function adjusts the playback time considering these language-specific differences, preventing unnatural elongation or overly fast speech, and resulting in videos where narration and subtitles flow at a natural tempo. For instance, even when generating a Swedish video based on a Japanese script, the length is automatically adjusted considering the difference in text volume, eliminating the need for manual adjustments to playback speed or subtitle timing after generation.
Four Use Cases for NoLang
With the addition of the three Nordic languages, videos directly applicable to specific use cases can be immediately created from existing Japanese materials within NoLang.
First, videos for disclosing IR information to overseas investors. By simply uploading Japanese PDF documents such as financial results presentations or integrated reports and selecting Swedish, Danish, or Finnish as the output language, explainer videos for local investors can be completed. This eliminates the need for outsourcing to translation companies or arranging narrators, allowing for speedy disclosure in sync with financial results announcements.
Second, videos for overseas marketing. By inputting existing company introduction materials, product catalogs, or service descriptions, brand videos and product introduction videos for the Nordic market can be created. This allows for quick responses in situations requiring speed, such as establishing a local subsidiary or exhibiting at trade shows.
Third, it can be utilized for cross-border e-commerce product introduction videos. By inputting text or materials summarizing product specifications and usage instructions, product introduction videos with local language narration and subtitles can be generated directly and immediately deployed on e-commerce product pages or social media advertisements.
Fourth, it supports the creation of multilingual onboarding videos (getting started guides). By uploading existing Japanese manuals or operation guides, getting started videos for Nordic users and partners can be prepared, supporting their initial setup while reducing the burden of support.
Even companies that have previously outsourced overseas video production to external translation companies or narrators can now prepare videos for the Nordic market using only their in-house resources by simply uploading their existing Japanese materials. This creates an environment that makes it easier for companies without specialized translation and localization systems to engage in information dissemination for the Nordic market.
Future Outlook
Mavericks will continue to sequentially expand support for languages with high user demand and the native languages of rapidly growing foreign communities in Japan. As an "infrastructure for multilingual video production" centered around Japan and Asia, we will continue to support information dissemination that transcends language barriers.
