The Problem Awareness Addressed by This Book

We worked hard on what needed to be done. Yet, somehow, it didn't go well—.

While supporting transformation in large corporations, Muture has witnessed numerous such situations in project sites. Those who created advertisements did not see 'whether the product was being accepted.' Those who kept adding features lost sight of 'who they were making it for in the first place.' Those who achieved their targets could not see 'how those targets were perceived by other departments.'

Even within the same organization, each person sees a different landscape. When what you see is different, your 'right thing' also differs. Disagreements quietly begin from such points.

This book, compiled by employee volunteers who have felt this reality through their daily work, summarizes it into case studies.

Book Structure

This book contains 6 cases. The first three cover 'Pitfalls of New Business,' and the latter three cover 'Misunderstandings in Product Development.'

**Pitfalls of New Business**

* Case 1: Doesn't it sell if we stop advertising!? * Case 2: The more we listen, the less clear what kind of app it is. * Case 3: A proposal that took half a year was stopped by a single question.

**Misunderstandings in Product Development**

* Case 4: 'Didn't I tell you?' and 'It's not written, is it?' never end. * Case 5: What happened behind the scenes of the Guinness record for inquiry rates. * Case 6: Everything became unclear when the boss changed.

Each case is divided into three parts: 'Situation,' 'Reframing the Situation,' and 'Practical Tools.' 'Situation' depicts the disagreements faced by the characters, 'Reframing the Situation' structurally organizes what was happening, and 'Practical Tools' introduces concrete tools usable from tomorrow. At the end of each case, we provide a 'How to Talk to Your Team' section with a starting sentence.

This book does not provide answers. It aims to offer hints that can slightly change the options available and relationships with others, by evoking the feeling of, 'Oh, I know this.'

Participation in Tech Book Fest 20

Muture will sponsor Tech Book Fest 20 as a silver sponsor.

This time, we will deliver this book offline and through the online market as a work created and distributed by employee volunteers. Driven by the desire to share practical knowledge gained in the field in a different setting than our daily client work, we embarked on creating this book.

We hope that through the Tech Book Fest, we can meet people with similar awareness of issues and share practical knowledge.

Project Leader Comment

'The 'misalignment' felt in projects within large corporations is no one's fault. We ourselves have experienced it many times in the field. We would be happy if this book reaches those who feel the same frustration and becomes an opportunity to discuss, 'This is how it was at our place.' We look forward to meeting you at the Tech Book Fest venue.'
