◼️ Background of This Initiative

PPIH will provide support for student life and children's cafeterias by utilizing funds received through digital corporate bonds for youth support issued in June 2025 to UCS Card members who are affiliated with PPIH Group's electronic money service "majica." With the ongoing rise in prices and living costs, this grant program for children's cafeterias was decided with the desire to support two main areas: supporting the daily lives of students and supporting the provision of safe spaces for children in the community.

◼️ Grant Details

Through this grant, we aim to support initiatives such as creating safe spaces for children, strengthening community ties, preventing isolation, providing food support, and fostering intergenerational exchange, with the goal of enabling children's cafeterias nationwide to continue their activities as "hubs supporting daily life in the community." Furthermore, we will deliver the "exciting and thrilling" experiences that are part of PPIH's corporate philosophy to children.

【What are Children's Cafeterias?】

Regardless of names such as "Community Cafeterias" or "Everyone's Home," these are free or low-cost cafeterias where children can come alone and feel safe. They are operated voluntarily in various locations, often by volunteers, and serve as "everyone's place" where people of all ages, centered around children, can interact through food. They also contribute to creating local vibrancy, providing a sense of purpose for the elderly, and improving issues such as isolation, loneliness, and poverty. Although there is no institutional backing, it has been revealed that there are 12,602 locations (final figures for 2025) (Reference: There are approximately 20,000 elementary schools and 10,000 junior high schools nationwide, and approximately 4,000 children's centers).

Musubie's vision is to "Create a society where no one is left behind by supporting children's cafeterias." We are working to create an environment where children's cafeterias are available everywhere in the country and are safe places for everyone to visit, and to enable many people to participate in social activities that build the future through children's cafeterias. Specifically, we support regional network organizations that assist local children's cafeterias, collaborate with companies and organizations that wish to contribute to society, conduct research and studies to clarify the actual conditions of children's cafeterias, and engage in awareness activities for children's cafeterias through these efforts. Furthermore, we provide support for the operation itself to ensure that facilities can operate safely and securely. In fiscal year 2024, we provided approximately ¥690 million in grants to a total of 3,914 organizations and facilitated material support from companies and other entities to 10,353 organizations (approximately ¥470 million calculated at retail price).
