Mrs. GREEN APPLE to Perform at Opening of Part 2 of "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026" Grand Ceremony

At the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026" (MAJ), the largest international music awards in Japan, the Grand Ceremony to announce the winners of the major six categories and other departments is currently being held today, June 13 (Sat), starting at 19:30. It was announced that Mrs. GREEN APPLE will be the opening performance artist for Part 2 of the Grand Ceremony.

*Performance artists will perform regardless of whether they win the award for the best work/artist.

Based on the concept of "connecting with the world and lighting the future of music," "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN," the largest international music awards in Japan, is holding its Grand Ceremony today, June 13 (Sat), at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO to announce the best works/artists in various categories, including the major six departments. The Grand Ceremony is being broadcast live on NHK and streamed worldwide on YouTube (excluding some regions), which is a global project partner, and is also being streamed live on Lemino (a video distribution service of gold partner NTT DOCOMO), ABEMA, and radiko. Furthermore, short-form content is also being distributed on social media platforms such as Spotify, TikTok, X, and YouTube.

In addition to the award ceremony for the best works/artists in the major six categories and other departments, gorgeous artists will present special performances at the Grand Ceremony. Mrs. GREEN APPLE has been chosen as the opening performance artist for Part 2. Mrs. GREEN APPLE won the first-ever Best Artist Award at the inaugural "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025" held last year. Although it is unusual to announce additional performance artists in the middle of the Grand Ceremony, expectations are high for what kind of performance Mrs. GREEN APPLE, who is nominated in a total of eight categories as a song or artist this year as well, will show. They will kick off Part 2 of the Grand Ceremony starting from 21:30.
