Kimete Inc., which promotes recruitment support and HR onboarding for companies, held a co-hosted webinar on Monday, June 29, 2026, with OGS Consulting Inc., Smart Soudan-shitsu Inc., and Bit A ourly Company Inc. On the day, four specialists from each field took the stage to address organizational challenges faced by many companies amidst a declining labor population, such as "recruitment mismatches," "early turnover," and "command-and-control organizations." They explained concrete know-how for scientifically fostering retention and success, attracting many HR and management professionals. Here are the highlights from the event.

Session Highlights from the Day

[Part 1] Jun Komine, President and Representative Director, Kimete Inc.

Theme: Scientific Assessment Methods to Quantify Culture Fit, Without Relying on "Intuition and Experience"

Komine, the first speaker, touched upon the company's strengths, which were established based on the recruitment know-how of Musashino Co., Ltd., a company with a 62-year history, and explained the "assessment" mechanism behind their achievements of a 5% new graduate offer rejection rate and a 97% 3-year retention rate.

- Utilizing Multiple Tools Beyond Just Interviews: Just as doctors use MRIs and CT scans in addition to physical examinations, interviewers should assess individuals with high resolution by combining quantitative information such as aptitude tests.

- Preventing Recruitment Errors Based on "Intuition and Experience": Gaps like "they seemed good in the interview but became a different person after joining" and early departures are caused by hiring based solely on qualitative information.

[Part 2] Kei Fukaishi, President and CEO, OGS Consulting Inc.

Theme: "Strategy-Linked" Performance Appraisal System to Prevent Turnover of Top Talent and Transform into an Offensive Organization

Fukaishi, who supports organizational development, pointed out based on unique research data that the fundamental reasons why executives and top talent leave companies are not "salary or benefits" but "misalignment with management's direction and lack of dialogue."

- Approximately 70% of Top Talent Offer Suggestions Before Quitting: However, 60% of them choose to leave because "the organization did nothing" in response, making it essential for management to acknowledge their voices.

- The Appraisal System is a "Mechanism for Dialogue," Not Just "Assessment": The essence of appraisal is a mechanism for dialogue to foster mutual understanding for growth; operating it solely as an assessment tool will not lead to retention or improved performance.

[Part 3] Naoya Okura, Marketing Department, Smart Soudan-shitsu Inc.

Theme: Breaking Free from "Command-and-Control" Organizations! The "Art of Delegation" and "Art of Elicitation" to Cultivate Autonomous Talent

Okura, who provides online counseling and coaching, warned of the significant opportunity loss caused by the "non-engaged" segment with low enthusiasm for their work. He advocated for a shift to management that elicits members' initiative.

- The Detrimental Effects of Traditional "Command-and-Control Management": Teaching answers in advance out of good intentions or micromanaging in detail deprives subordinates of the psychological needs to "decide for themselves (autonomy)" and "I can do it (competence)."

- Differentiating Approaches Based on "Motivation" and "Ability": Managers should assess their subordinates' conditions and implement reproducible management.

[Part 4] Shinpei Takahashi, COO, Bit A ourly Company Inc.

Theme: Achieving Engagement Improvement Through Organizational Improvement That Doesn't End with Measurement

Takahashi, the final speaker, sounded a warning about engagement surveys, which are increasingly being introduced in the context of human capital management, stating, "If management and supervisors do not act simply by measuring, it is a waste of resources and becomes a mere formality."

- "Three Conditions" Essential for a Functional Survey: For organizational improvement, it is absolutely essential to have "management's seriousness," "front-line supervisors' buy-in," and "prioritization of factors that improve scores."

- Tracking Priorities in Your Company's Timeline: Based on competitive strategy, it is crucial for management, HR, and the front lines to agree on "which area's score to improve this quarter" and to persistently implement follow-up actions based on the results.

An archive of this seminar is scheduled to be distributed.
