Musashino Art University (Location: Kodaira City, Tokyo / President: Hirokazu Kabayama) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the "VCP for LIFE PROJECT 2026" program for working adults. In conjunction with this, a public talk event titled "What is LIFE PROJECT? Designing Your Individuality." will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Musashino Art University Ichigaya Campus to introduce the philosophy and educational appeal of this program. The "VCP for LIFE PROJECT" is a program for working adults that overlays each individual's accumulated experience with the power of art and design cultivated by Musashino Art University, allowing them to envision a lifestyle and work format that suits them, and connecting it to practice through engagement with society and the community. Through lectures, production, dialogue, and 3 days of practical fieldwork, participants will deepen ideas that originate from themselves. In the 2026 academic year, the program will be conducted over a total of 9 days, including a 3-day practical exercise, using Susami Town in Wakayama Prefecture or the region where the participants themselves are active as a field. The "LIFE PROJECT" at the core of this program is a concept of nurturing daily activities such as work, life, hobbies, and community activities into practices open to society, starting from one's own values and interests. In the public talk event, the first part will delve into the perspective of "LIFE PROJECT" itself, and the second part will feature case reports by participants of "VCP for LIFE PROJECT 2025". It will open an opportunity to specifically consider "what to value in life" and "how to connect that to the shape of work and activities" from both theoretical and practical standpoints.
