This is a special exhibition of vessels created by 16 students majoring in Ceramics in the Craft Design Course of the Department of Craft and Industrial Design at Musashino Art University, using sweets from the established wagashi shop 'Toraya' as their subject. This 11th iteration of the exhibition will be held at both the Takanodai and Ichigaya campuses of Musashino Art University.
The works in this exhibition began taking shape during the summer vacation of 2025, when students visited wagashi shops in various regions, deepened their knowledge, and considered the relationship between Japanese sweets and vessels.
During production, they continually refined their work while challenging various ceramic techniques. Please come and see what 'Vessels and Wagashi' means to each of the 16 students.
