Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture and MTI Sign Partnership Agreement to Support Women's Health Management

Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture (Mayor: Takashi Matsuo) and MTI Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Toshihiro Maeta; hereinafter, MTI) will sign a "Partnership Agreement for Women's Health Management Support" on Monday, May 18, with the aim of supporting women's health management.

Through this partnership agreement, Kamakura City residents will be able to use the "Premium Course," a paid feature of 'Lunaluna,' MTI's women's healthcare service that accompanies women throughout their lives, free of charge starting Monday, May 18. 'Lunaluna' provides various information such as basic knowledge about fertility activities and infertility treatment, allowing users to receive health information tailored to their life stage.

Furthermore, through this initiative, the extent to which the 'Lunaluna' app provision and information distribution can contribute to those who wish to conceive will be verified.

1. Background of the Partnership Agreement

Kamakura City aims to realize a "child-centered society" by enriching support so that children can be born and raised safely in Kamakura, and parents can raise children with peace of mind in Kamakura. As part of this effort, the city is actively working to create an environment where women can give birth and raise children with peace of mind, by providing opportunities for women to focus on their daily health, including their body rhythms, nutrition, and physical and mental condition. MTI began offering the 'Lunaluna' service in 2000. Utilizing the big data accumulated in 'Lunaluna,' MTI has developed a unique ovulation prediction algorithm*1, and has supported women's health tailored to their life stages, including menstrual cycle management, fertility activities, pregnancy, childbirth, childcare, and menopause, leveraging 25 years of accumulated know-how and expertise. Against this background, the two parties reached this partnership agreement to mutually cooperate in supporting women's health management.

2. Details of Cooperation and Collaboration

Utilizing 'Lunaluna' provided by MTI, cooperation and collaboration will be carried out regarding the following matters:

(1) Dissemination of correct knowledge regarding women's health management

(2) Dissemination of correct knowledge and support regarding pregnancy, childbirth, infertility, and recurrent pregnancy loss

(3) Support for couples wishing to conceive, implemented by Kamakura City

(4) Support for couples wishing to conceive, implemented by MTI

(5) Other matters deemed necessary by both parties
