Minano Town, Saitama Prefecture, and MTI Conclude Partnership Agreement to Support Women's Health Management

Minano Town, Chichibu-gun, Saitama Prefecture (Mayor: Hidenori Kurosawa) and MTI Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Toshihiro Maeta; hereinafter, MTI) will conclude a "Partnership Agreement on Women's Health Management Support" on April 1 (Wednesday), with the aim of supporting women's health management and related matters. Through this partnership agreement, MTI will begin offering its 'Lunaluna' women's healthcare service, which accompanies all women throughout their lives, including its paid feature, the "Premium Course," free of charge to residents of Minano Town starting April 1 (Wednesday). Through the 'Lunaluna' service, information dissemination on basic knowledge regarding infertility treatment and fertility activities is also planned, allowing users to receive health information tailored to their life stages. Furthermore, through this initiative, a verification will be conducted to see if the provision of the 'Lunaluna' app and information dissemination can contribute to fertility activities within households.

1. Background of the Partnership Agreement Minano Town is working towards realizing a "town chosen by young people and women" against the backdrop of changes in the social environment, including population decline. As part of this, the town is promoting the development of an environment that seamlessly supports marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing, and also aims to promote "preconception care" so that younger generations can engage in health management early on with a view to the future. MTI began providing the 'Lunaluna' service in 2000. Utilizing the big data accumulated in 'Lunaluna', MTI has built its unique ovulation day prediction algorithm*1, and has leveraged its 25 years of accumulated know-how and expertise to support women's health tailored to various life stages, including menstrual cycle management, fertility activities, pregnancy, childbirth, child-rearing, and menopause. Against this background, both parties have reached this partnership agreement to mutually cooperate in supporting women's health management and other related matters.

2. Matters of Cooperation and Collaboration Utilizing 'Lunaluna' provided by MTI, cooperation and collaboration will be carried out regarding the following matters: (1) Dissemination and enlightenment of correct knowledge regarding women's health management (2) Dissemination and enlightenment of correct knowledge and support regarding pregnancy, childbirth, infertility, and recurrent pregnancy loss (3) Support for couples wishing to conceive, implemented by Minano Town (4) Support for couples wishing to conceive, implemented by MTI (5) Other matters deemed necessary by both parties

Dissemination of basic knowledge on fertility activities and information on women's health support Utilizing the 'Lunaluna' service, MTI plans to disseminate basic knowledge on infertility treatment and fertility activities, and conduct knowledge enlightenment as women's health support tailored to life stages. In addition, it provides a self-check function that refers to age, fertility history, and past menstrual cycles, proposes appropriate steps for fertility activities, and recommends medical institution visits.
