Mstg Group Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Group CEO: Yuji Sugita) will launch a comprehensive "Support System for Balancing Treatment and Work" on April 1st, which reorganizes and expands multilayered systems to create an environment where employees can continue to work with peace of mind while receiving appropriate medical treatment.

The "Support System for Balancing Treatment and Work" enhances support systems for each phase of prevention, treatment, and work-life balance. This includes the "Health Promotion Bonus," which subsidizes optional medical check-ups for major diseases up to 20,000 yen per year; the "Cancer Diagnosis Condolence Money," which provides 500,000 yen to support treatment and living expenses upon a cancer diagnosis; and "Life Support Leave," which grants up to 30 days of leave per year, usable in one-hour increments, for the purpose of treating illnesses requiring continuous outpatient care. Furthermore, a "Work-Life Balance Support Coordinator" will be established internally to support employees in balancing their treatment and work.

◼︎ Background and Objectives

Due to the amendment of the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Career Advancement in the Workplace, starting April 1, 2026, all companies will be obligated to support workers with illnesses in balancing their treatment and work. Our group, which operates in the medical and healthcare domain, considers it a crucial challenge to embody an environment where individuals facing illness do not have to abandon their careers due to treatment, nor miss opportunities for appropriate medical care due to work.

This system aims to establish a clear and comprehensive support framework by reorganizing the flexible work styles and health management systems previously scattered within our group, specifically tailored to the concrete situation of treatment, and by including new systems aimed at prevention, early detection, and financial support.
