Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. has been commissioned by the National Research and Development Agency New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) to conduct a research project on 'Problem Solving related to the NEDO Bounty Program (*1) / Digital Solution Development for Formalizing Business Know-how of Manufacturing Operators'.

In this project, a bounty-based contest titled 'NEDO Challenge, Manufacturing DX ~ Achieve Digital Transfer of Manufacturing Skills and Creation of New Manufacturing Know-how ~' (*2) is being implemented, focusing on 'Research and Development for the Transfer of Manufacturing Skills and the Creation of New Manufacturing Know-how' to address issues in Japan's manufacturing industry such as the retirement of skilled technicians and the loss of valuable manufacturing know-how due to labor shortages.

Through this project, nine 'digital solutions for manufacturing skill transfer' and nine 'digital solutions for creating new manufacturing know-how' have been developed by bounty candidates. A contest and awards ceremony for these research and development achievements will be held on Wednesday, May 27. A panel exhibition of the research and development results is also scheduled for the same day. We are accepting applications for observation, either at the venue or online, so please consider attending.
