"Genmai Shokudo Aen" is a cafeteria-style restaurant that offers carefully prepared brown rice set meals in station premises or near stations, with the keyword "Japan's Delicacies to the Station." Since its first opening in Omiya Station (Ecute Omiya store) in 2015, it has opened "Acorde Yoyogi-Uehara Store" and "Kawaguchi Station East Exit Store." With the opening of the "Machida PALIO Store," it will be the fourth store in total.
Machida Station is one of the leading terminal stations in the Tama area, served by the Odakyu Line and JR Yokohama Line, with a total of over 400,000 passengers boarding and alighting daily. "Machida PALIO" is a long-established commercial facility born in 1975, offering a wide range of shops including restaurants, cafes, fashion, relaxation, lifestyle, and event spaces, and is used by people of all ages. True to its name "PALIO," which means "to create something from here" in Latin, it is popular as a community-based cultural transmission hub, hosting original events such as music live performances and "Palio de Rakugo" that convey "good things and good experiences of Machida.".
At "Genmai Shokudo Aen Machida PALIO Store," you can enjoy "Japan's Delicacies" made with healthy and delicious brown rice and carefully selected ingredients through eat-in service. Taking advantage of its prime station-front location, we also offer takeout options such as bento boxes and side dishes. We are also planning campaigns in conjunction with four "Mos Burger" stores in the Machida City area, delivering the "joy of food" to the local community in multiple ways.
Introduction to "Genmai Shokudo Aen"
At "Genmai Shokudo Aen," we use "Ni-hachi Genmai," a blend of 20% white rice and 80% Koshihikari brown rice from Chiba Prefecture, to make brown rice more approachable in taste, aroma, and texture. We cook it fluffy using our unique ratio and cooking method. The side dishes and small bowls have a simple and gentle flavor that allows you to feel the "blessings of the satoyama," and we offer menus that allow you to enjoy a balanced combination of various ingredients such as brown rice, meat, fish, and vegetables.
The store name "Aen" is derived from "Zinc." "Zinc" is a mineral that plays an important role in skin metabolism, bone growth, and normal taste sensation. In addition to the cafeteria-style "Genmai Shokudo Aen," we operate four restaurant-style "Aen" stores in Tokyo, offering seasonal Japanese cuisine with the concept of "Japan's Delicacies.".
