Confectionery Factory Image (Exterior) Confectionery Factory Image (Interior)
KidZania is a vocational and social experience facility where children can challenge themselves with jobs they like and learn about the structure of society while having fun. The city, built at approximately 2/3 the scale of the real world, is lined with pavilions exhibited by real companies, offering various job and service experiences. Our company has exhibited the "Confectionery Factory" pavilion since the opening of "KidZania Tokyo" in 2006. For approximately 20 years, the experience of making "Hi-Chew" in this familiar pavilion will be enhanced with the new element of learning about the product's development history. Concurrently, the pavilion's exterior and interior, as well as the flavors and package designs of the confections to be made, will be completely renewed. The flavor will be "Blue Raspberry" for approximately two months after the renewal opening, after which it will change to "Grape."
In this pavilion, children will work as "Confectionery Factory Staff." After learning about the history and knowledge of "Hi-Chew," they will use both manual labor and machinery to create original "Hi-Chew" with a spiral pattern. They will also conduct foreign object contamination checks, learning about food safety. Finally, they can take home the finished confections in an original package bearing their own name.
Through this manufacturing experience in the "Confectionery Factory," our company aims to provide children with an opportunity to experience the value that confections bring and the ingenuity involved in manufacturing using their five senses, while also deepening their understanding of food hygiene, rules, and manners, thereby fostering their independence and social skills. We will continue to contribute to the development of the next generation by engaging with familiar "food" that is loved across generations.
