Our company endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of Moreover Co., Ltd.
### ■ Our Dream
In 10 years, we aim to realize a society where pelvic floor muscle self-care is not something special but naturally integrated into daily life.
It will no longer be a special act to adjust pelvic floor muscles while working in the office. People will effortlessly care for their pelvic floor muscles even during their relaxing time at home.
Whether they have symptoms or not, pelvic floor muscle self-care will be performed as naturally as stretching when tired or rotating one's neck and shoulders.
People will be able to face, understand, and care for their own body's condition without worrying about their surroundings.
We aim to create a world where such a scene is commonplace.
### ■ Overlooked Challenges
Issues related to pelvic floor muscles, such as urinary incontinence, frequent urination, and concerns about sexual function, are by no means special problems.
However, in reality, they are overlooked with reasons like "it's not life-threatening," "it's not a big deal because it doesn't hurt or itch," or "it's due to age so it can't be helped." Furthermore, many people suffer alone because it's difficult to discuss with others.
Problems that should inherently be addressed as part of one's physical condition have continuously been treated as "invisible" or "something to hide."
These delicate concerns are known to reduce quality of life (QOL) regardless of the severity of symptoms. Each may be a small discomfort or inconvenience, but their accumulation leads to a decline in daily comfort, confidence, and ultimately, well-being.
"It might be a small thing, but if I can fix it, I want to. If I can prevent it, I want to."
We aim for a society where such positive choices are made as a matter of course.
### ■ Our Approach
Pelvic floor muscles, like those in the shoulders, neck, waist, and legs, are muscles that should be routinely cared for.
Also, like other muscles, a comprehensive approach involving not only "training" but also stretching, massage, and fascial release should be taken.
To make this commonplace, based on research results focusing on the "flexibility" of pelvic floor muscles conducted by representative Onishi during his time at the University of Tsukuba, we propose a new self-care option of "releasing and strengthening."
We developed the pelvic floor muscle self-care item 'SOKOAGE®' so that pelvic floor muscles can be regulated as an extension of daily life, without requiring special places or time.
