MOONDROP to Launch 'Armature Art 24' Flagship Earphones with 24 Full BA Drivers per Side on June 18

MOONDROP Co., Ltd. will begin sales of the 'Armature Art 24' (XTM-AA24) canal-type earphones, equipped with 24 balanced armature (BA) drivers per side, on Thursday, June 18. This model is part of the completely new 'Armature Art' concept line within the 'XTM series' of crossover technology.

The 'Armature Art 24' is a full-BA model that challenges the limits of MOONDROP's dedication and technology, lavishly incorporating complex acoustic structures and advanced crossover technology to achieve extremely pure, consistent, and high-quality sound reproduction.

In recent years, as hybrid earphones have become mainstream, products specializing in a full-BA configuration have been on the decline. However, there is still a strong demand for the unique sound that only full-BA can offer, characterized by its 'purity,' 'excellent consistency,' and exquisite detail reproduction.
In response to this demand, this product has been infused with a new design philosophy and a commitment to 'purity' to draw out the full potential of the BA configuration.

The XTM series does not employ simplistic multi-layer crossovers merely to boast about driver count.
To achieve 100% harmony with the extremely luxurious hardware of 24 drivers per side, a proprietary acoustic design has been adopted. Numerous dedicated custom non-standard parts have been generously used, and the 24 BA drivers are perfectly coordinated through an original design philosophy. Skillfully leveraging the sonic characteristics of a multi-driver configuration, the sound far exceeds expectations for a 24-driver setup in all aspects: soundstage density, high resolution, rich spatial expression, and dynamics.

Optimized BA Module Configuration for Each Frequency Band
All 24 drivers incorporate luxurious dedicated modules and new materials to maximize the potential of the low, mid-high, and ultra-high frequency bands.
- Patented 16-BA Low-Frequency Module
The innovative SUPERWOOFER module in the AA24 divides 16 low-frequency units into 8 groups, placing them on the sound transmission path in a mutually and evenly progressive delay sequence. By simulating the sound diffusion phenomenon in real space, it achieves high density, rich low-frequency expression, and a detailed yet stable mid-low range.
- 4 Mid-High Frequency BA Drivers
The mid-high range features four BA drivers with Al-Mg alloy diaphragms. This achieves both rich density and high resolution while avoiding unnecessary coupling from excessive stacking of mid-range drivers. The lightweight Al-Mg alloy diaphragm offers a wider playback band and faster response compared to conventional aluminum diaphragm BA drivers.
- 4 Ultra-High Frequency BA Drivers
Four custom-designed ultra-high frequency BA drivers with Al-Mg alloy diaphragms are included. A dedicated damping suspension ensures both quick response and excellent braking characteristics. Furthermore, an acoustic channel formed by precision 3D printing technology optimally integrates the sound from each unit, suppressing phase interference in the ultra-high range and faithfully delivering smooth, extended ultra-high frequency details.

Designed and adjusted by MOONDROP's experienced development team and subjected to rigorous objective measurements, high phase coherence is achieved across all frequency bands. This provides more accurate positioning and natural chord reproduction.

MOONDROP has built a long-term relationship of trust with 'HeyGears,' a leading 3D printing company, and has concluded a strategic partnership. Through repeated fine-tuning of high-precision DLP-3D printing technology, the mass production of complex, high-precision structures has been achieved.

'Ice Flower' Crystalline Pattern, Nitrided Titanium Alloy Faceplate
The faceplate of the AA24 is made of titanium alloy, which boasts extremely high rigidity and light weight. A special process creates a beautiful and complex crystalline texture on the surface, resembling 'ice flowers.'
Furthermore, a nitriding treatment on the surface significantly improves wear resistance, preserving the beautiful crystal texture, which changes with viewing angle and light, for a long time.

0.78mm 2-Pin Detachable Cable Design & Selected High-Quality Mixed Cable
A 0.78mm 2-pin detachable cable design is adopted, allowing for replacement with your favorite cables or Bluetooth modules.
A mixed cable combining 19 cores of high-quality single crystal copper and 19 cores of pure silver is used to achieve a detailed and stable mid-low range. The outermost layer of the cable uses a braided material for excellent durability.

The AA24 comes standard with three different types of eartips (standard silicone, UC, and the newly developed 'ATF' series foam-silicone).
MOONDROP's newly developed 'ATF' fuses foam and silicone to achieve both high sound insulation and a comfortable fit. Its unique structural design completely suppresses the 'muffled sound' and 'blurry contours' often found in traditional foam types, delivering an extremely clear and realistic sound.
