Profile of Takeshi Yoro:
Born in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1937. Anatomist. Graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Medicine. Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo. Received the Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities in 1989 for 'Karada no Mikata'. His 2003 book 'Baka no Kabe' became a bestseller, winning the New Words and Buzzwords Award and the Mainichi Publishing Culture Award Special Prize. Other notable works include 'Yuino-ron', 'Yuigon.', and 'Jinsei no Kabe'. Known as a great insect lover, he established an 'insect mound' at Kencho-ji Temple in Kamakura, where he holds an annual memorial service.
