MONOVATE Adds Bottom Agitators to its Lineup, Expanding into New Markets with Standalone Sales in Addition to Tank Integration

MONOVATE Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masaki Oyama), a manufacturer of industrial stainless steel tanks and stirring equipment, has newly added four series of seal-less magnetic drive bottom agitators (SDM, SRD, SDP, SSN) to its lineup for manufacturing processes requiring high hygiene, such as pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics.

Furthermore, the company will commence standalone sales of agitators, which were previously primarily provided integrated into its own tanks, and will begin selling to engineering companies, design offices, and tank manufacturers.

Background: From Tank Manufacturer to New Option of Standalone Agitator Sales

MONOVATE has historically focused on the design and manufacture of stainless steel tanks, offering integrated proposals that incorporate agitators according to their intended use.

Meanwhile, in recent years,

• desire for stable agitation even at low liquid levels

• structural reduction of cleaning difficulty and foreign matter contamination risks

• resolution of ceiling height and maintenance space constraints

for these reasons, interest in bottom agitation methods has been increasing.

To meet these needs, MONOVATE has newly added a lineup of seal-less magnetic drive bottom agitators manufactured by SEDNA ENG Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, SEDNA) of Korea, through technical cooperation.

By continuing to offer package sales with agitators integrated into tanks, which is MONOVATE's strength, and by starting to provide agitators as standalone units, the company supports flexible equipment construction, such as integration into tank designs by engineering companies and tank manufacturers.

Product Features: High Hygiene and Space-Saving Properties from Seal-less Structure

The bottom agitators in this new lineup adopt a seal-less, completely enclosed structure with magnetic coupling.

• No shaft seal, reducing wear particle generation and foreign matter contamination risks

• Improved cleanability due to shaftless structure, compatible with CIP/SIP

• Installed at the bottom of the tank, enabling stable agitation even at low liquid levels

• Easy installation and maintenance even in locations with ceiling height restrictions

This structure supports hygienic design in the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, and chemical fields.

Four Product Series to Choose From According to Process

Depending on the application and shear conditions, you can select from the following four series:

• SDM Series: Low shear, standard model (wide range of uses including mixing, dissolving)

• SDP Series: Medium shear, pulverizing model (powder suction and dispersion processes)

• SRD Series: Medium shear, dispersion model (compatible with high viscosity and slurries)

• SSN Series: High shear model (emulsification, homogenization, fine pulverization processes)
