Data related to the "Mnemonic (seed phrase)" required for private key recovery is stored by dividing it between the server and the client, and server data can be obtained by successfully authenticating with a passkey.
With only the client data, the private key cannot be recovered, and the other data required for recovery is protected by phishing-resistant passkey authentication.
On the other hand, since the private key cannot be recovered with only the server data, even if a synced passkey is illicitly synced by an attacker, digital assets will not be leaked.
Non-Custodial
As mentioned above, since the private key cannot be recovered with only the server data, we cannot move your digital assets with only the data we hold.
In addition to complying with Japanese laws, the specifications are based on the fundamental policy of digital assets: "self-custody (protecting your own assets)."
Mnemonic supports export/import via text, NFC, and QR code.
Wallet recovery and migration are possible between wallet products that support the same recovery specifications (*).
Therefore, it is designed not to excessively depend on our service.
Furthermore, we plan to support WIF format private key export/import in the future.
* Compatibility requires not only the mnemonic method but also consistency in the presence of a passphrase and key derivation specifications, etc.
