MIXI Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President, Senior Executive Officer CEO: Hiroki Kimura) launched the new welfare program "MIXI Cafeteria Plan" in April 2026, which grants 240,000 points annually to each employee. In addition to skill development, health support, childcare, and nursing care, a unique category called "Invention Support" has been established, typical of an entertainment company, to encourage experiences that lead to new ideas, such as live music, art appreciation, sports spectating, and exposure to the latest digital content.
Within one month of the system's launch, 44% (618 employees) of the 1,390 eligible employees (regular employees, contract employees, expert employees) have utilized it. Usage is expanding from learning and health to invention experiences.
■ Background to the introduction of the MIXI Cafeteria Plan
In April 2026, our company introduced a new human resources system aimed at supporting the activity and growth of each employee and maximizing organizational performance. The new HR system incorporates the concept of "Total Rewards," which comprehensively views compensation to include not only monetary rewards such as salary but also non-monetary rewards such as growth support and work environment. The system consistently articulates what the company expects from employees and what it rewards, thereby promoting employees' proactive challenges and creation of results.
The "MIXI Cafeteria Plan" was redesigned as part of the welfare benefits, as one of the non-monetary rewards, during the system overhaul. Previously, usage of certain benefits tended to be biased towards a subset of employees. Therefore, this system was introduced to fairly distribute the same funds to more employees, allowing them to utilize it according to their life stage and interests.

■ Overview of the MIXI Cafeteria Plan
This system utilizes the welfare benefits platform "Cafeteria HQ" provided by HQ Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shoji Sakamoto), and annually grants 240,000 points to employees on April 1st. Employees can choose from over 1,000 menus offered by the platform's partners, and it can also be widely used for services not partnered with the platform (such as small sports gyms or individual osteopathic clinics) through reimbursement.
Notably, the average annual allocation per person in companies that have introduced cafeteria plans in Japan is 66,473 yen, and only 14.3% of companies provide 100,000 yen or more*. Our company's allocated points are approximately four times the average, placing it at a top-class level.

■ About the unique "Invention Support" system
As a company that provides communication services in the entertainment domain, we believe that employees' exposure to diverse experiences and inputs, and accumulating emotions and surprises within themselves, leads to the creation of more appealing services and the provision of new value to users. Based on this idea, 50,000 of the annual points can be used as part of the unique "Invention Support" system for experiences that lead to new ideas, such as attending music live performances, appreciating art, watching sports, engaging with music/video content, and digital content like games incorporating the latest technology. This initiative supports the value of "Invention," one of our company's values, which states, "Surpass imagination. Pursue the essence, and strive for bold ideas from a new perspective."
■ Usage status after system launch
From April 1 to April 30, 2026, the number of users was 618, accounting for 44% of eligible employees, the total number of uses was 2,162, and the total points used were 20,501,128pt, indicating widespread usage immediately after the system's launch.
In terms of usage categories, "Skill Up," "Healthcare," and "Meals" were at the top, with many uses seen for AI tools, learning services, medical consultations/treatments, genetic testing, home delivery meal services, and supplements. Additionally, there were 158 applications for "Invention Support." Utilization was also observed for understanding industry trends such as video distribution services and games, as well as for learning experience design through theme parks and events. This indicates that the system is being utilized as a foundation for employees to continue inventing passionately.
Going forward, our company will continue to enrich the entire human resources system, including welfare benefits, as a system that supports the activity and growth of each employee and the creation of an environment where they can concentrate on their work.
