Lock+Store Tanjong Pagar, a self-storage facility operated in Singapore by General Storage Company Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter 'GSC'), a consolidated subsidiary of our group, participated as one of the official venues for Singapore Art Week.
Singapore Art Week is an annual event organized by the National Arts Council, featuring over 100 exhibitions and art programs by local and international visual arts communities across museums, galleries, and other venues throughout Singapore over a 10-day period. As part of this event, a solo exhibition titled 'Singapore, So Cantik La!' by Singaporean digital illustrator Yenidraws was held at Lock+Store Tanjong Pagar.
Yenidraws' artworks are inspired by the childhood memories and family of artist Yeni Lim, depicting nostalgic sceneries of Singapore. These colorful works are widely loved, and 'Yenidraws & Friends', a gift shop located in Tiong Bahru, Singapore, has even been featured in Japanese tourist guidebooks.
For this exhibition, a single self-storage unit was utilized as the exhibition space. By transforming an everyday, functional place into a space that evokes storytelling and nostalgia, allowing individuals to reflect upon themselves, it challenged the conventional norms of where art belongs.

We are incredibly happy to support Yenidraws' Yeni Lim, who is both a customer of ours and a highly talented artist. Through hosting 'Singapore, So Cantik La!', we are convinced that even the most practical of spaces can serve as a platform for creativity, connection, and cultural expression.
'Singapore, So Cantik La!' is a love letter to the everyday moments and objects that quietly shape us. Exhibiting this work in a self-storage facility carries a special meaning. This is because self-storage spaces are exactly the places where we keep our objects of memory.
The exhibition reflected GSC's core belief that a self-storage unit is not merely a physical space, but a space that protects memories, stories, and the things that matter most to people. The exhibition attracted a large number of visitors and received significant coverage across online media platforms.
