Shuichi Hida, Director of Mitsukyo Ekimae Smile Dental Clinic (Seya-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), has been appointed Chairman of the "5th Japan Association of Pediatric Orthodontics National Conference," to be held in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, as an instructor for the Japan Association of Pediatric Orthodontics.

This national conference is an academic event exclusively for members of the association and staff of member clinics, where dentists and dental hygienists from across Japan will gather to discuss pediatric orthodontics and oral function development. It will be a venue for sharing the latest knowledge directly applicable to clinical practice and deepening practical discussions.

As the chairman, Dr. Hida will connect the association's philosophy—that "pediatric orthodontics is not merely a treatment to align teeth, but medical care that supports the foundation of growth and development, oral function, and even lifelong health"—to the next generation, playing a role in contributing to the development of higher quality pediatric orthodontic care.

The next sessions will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, for two days, targeting children aged 6 and above, up to adults.

On the day, based on the content of the pre-counseling questionnaire, we will provide clear and polite explanations from a professional standpoint regarding topics such as:
・Whether orthodontic treatment is truly necessary
・Whether wire braces or clear aligners are suitable
・Estimated treatment period and cost

Furthermore, simultaneous participation by parents and children or siblings is also possible.
