LINK-J Marks 10th Anniversary with Name Change and New Vision/Mission for Next Decade

General Incorporated Association LINK-J (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Chairman of the Board: Hideyuki Okano, hereinafter "LINK-J") and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shun Ueda, hereinafter "Mitsui Fudosan") announce that LINK-J celebrated its 10th anniversary in March 2026.

LINK-J was established in March 2016 by Mitsui Fudosan and volunteers from industry and academia, with a base in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. Its purpose was to promote open innovation in the life science sector through industry-academia-government collaboration and support the creation of new industries. Currently, in addition to promoting collaboration and exchange among domestic and international industry, government, and academia, including life science ventures, and supporting members' business growth and overseas expansion, it has been adopted as a promoter for Tokyo's startup support program, thereby fostering the development of Japan's life science ecosystem and promoting innovation.

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the official name will be changed from "Japan Life Science Innovation Network" to "General Incorporated Association LINK-J". Furthermore, a new vision and mission for the next decade have been formulated. Under this new structure, LINK-J will accelerate open innovation further, realizing the future of life sciences from Japan to the world through societal implementation.

LINK-J has formulated its vision and mission for the next 10 years. To achieve this vision, LINK-J will expand the chain of co-creation by creating highly specialized communities and promoting collaboration among diverse players, with "community building," "strengthening trend dissemination," and "innovation support" as the pillars of its activities.

To create a chain where challengers connect, knowledge circulates, and capital flows, fostering continuous evolution for innovations that give hope to the world. As a catalyst for creating the next "wave" in the ecosystem, LINK-J will continue to accelerate open innovation and implement the future of life sciences from Japan to the world.
