This Release's Key Points ■ Mitsui Fudosan, Tokyo Dome, and TEPCO EP collaborate on "Off-site Physical Corporate PPA"*1. ■ Through this three-company collaboration, real renewable energy supply commenced on April 1. By FY2028, renewable energy will be supplied from new solar power generation facilities at 18 locations in the Kanto area, with a total capacity of approximately 18,000kW and an annual generation of approximately 23 million kWh. ■ Approximately 32% of Tokyo Dome City's*2 electricity consumption will become real renewable energy, expected to reduce annual CO₂ emissions by approximately 9,600 tons, advancing decarbonization. The three companies will continue to actively collaborate to promote initiatives contributing to carbon neutrality.
Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President: Takashi Ueda; hereinafter "Mitsui Fudosan"), Tokyo Dome Corporation (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President: Yutaka Saito; hereinafter "Tokyo Dome"), and TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President: Momoko Nagasaki; hereinafter "TEPCO EP") signed a contract regarding an off-site physical corporate PPA derived from solar power generation in March 2026, and supply commenced today.
Starting April 1, 2026, and sequentially towards FY2028, renewable energy (hereinafter "renewable energy") from solar power generation facilities newly developed by Mitsui Fudosan at a total of 18 locations in the Kanto area (total capacity approximately 18,000kW, annual generation approximately 23 million kWh) will be supplied to Tokyo Dome City under TEPCO EP's efficient and stable supply-demand management. This is expected to realize a large-scale off-site physical corporate PPA in the Kanto area where the generator and consumer belong to the same corporate group*3.
Since FY2023, Tokyo Dome has been using 100% effective renewable energy for all electricity consumed in the common areas and self-use areas of Tokyo Dome (stadium), utilizing non-fossil certificates and supplied by TEPCO EP, compliant with RE100*4. Through this initiative, by FY2028, an amount equivalent to Tokyo Dome City's annual daytime electricity consumption*5 (approximately 32% of annual electricity consumption) will become real renewable energy, leading to an annual reduction of approximately 9,600 tons of CO₂ emissions and advancing decarbonization.
