Mitsubishi HC Capital Launches Inventory Inspection Service Utilizing Hitachi Solutions East Japan's Solutions

Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Hiroki Hisui; hereinafter, Mitsubishi HC Capital) has commenced providing an inventory inspection service (hereinafter, this service) for the distribution and manufacturing industries. This service utilizes solutions provided by Hitachi Solutions East Japan, Ltd. (Representative Director, President: Takeo Ishii; hereinafter, Hitachi Solutions East Japan) to visualize, analyze, and propose improvements for inventory.

In recent years, in the distribution and manufacturing industries, there has been a growing need for efficient and advanced inventory management due to factors such as labor shortages caused by population decline, over-reliance on individual expertise, delays in DX, diversification of products, and disruptions in supply chains. Inventory management issues are no longer merely operational problems but have become apparent as management challenges.

In response to this situation, Mitsubishi HC Capital has launched this service to contribute to the optimization of the entire supply chain, starting with the optimization of corporate inventory. For the provision of this service, it utilizes "SynCAS PSI Visualizer," a production, sales, and inventory (PSI) visualization and adjustment solution developed by Hitachi Solutions East Japan for the distribution and manufacturing industries, and "Forecast Pro," a demand forecasting support solution.

In this service, Mitsubishi HC Capital takes the lead, visualizing inventory status through "SynCAS PSI Visualizer" based on customer's inbound/outbound/inventory actuals and plan data, and analyzing/evaluating inventory status based on demand forecasts utilizing "Forecast Pro." For inventory issues and problematic inventory highlighted through analysis, improvement measures are proposed to achieve optimal inventory levels. By integrally proposing everything from inventory visualization to efforts for optimal inventory, and further providing finance for the entire supply chain related to these efforts, the service supports the smooth and optimized inventory operations of customers, contributing to the resolution of inventory issues and ultimately the optimization of the entire supply chain.

Going forward, both companies will support the resolution of inventory management challenges faced by companies through this service, and aim to enhance service solutions based on customer requests and needs.
