Photos by Koh Hasebe/Shinko Music Archives

We are holding a major exhibition of Koh Hasebe, a leading rock photographer who was the first Japanese person to photograph The Beatles, photographed Queen numerous times, and was loved by musicians worldwide under the name "KOH". Starting with his photograph of The Beatles in London in 1965, he became an exclusive photographer for "Music Life" magazine, which led Japanese music culture for many years. He remained at the forefront of the rock scene, and his vast body of work, spanning over 40 years, has played a crucial role in the Western music scene.

From live stages that are spoken of as history, to precious off-stage works of popular musicians worthy of the title "Rock Star." Rock stars gather across time and space, dyeing the Kyoto summer with rock.
