## Public Beta Version Generated Significant Buzz

In the public beta version, which began offering services in February 2026, functions equivalent to the "Community Plan," which will continue to be available for free, were provided, and many people tried it out.

More than 200 maps created with Kumoy have been publicly released to date, receiving a certain level of evaluation as a new means of publishing maps.

On X (formerly Twitter), the ability to "seamlessly view created thematic maps" was highly praised, and hundreds of related posts have been made by users since the public beta release.

## "Team Plan" Now Available

The "Team Plan," which begins offering services today, allows users to utilize organizational management functions and significantly relaxes storage restrictions.

Organizational management becomes possible, allowing users to manage who can view and edit projects. Furthermore, by inviting users to the Kumoy organization, not limited to the utilizing organization, it becomes possible to share maps on the Web within the organization without making the URL public.

Organizations with up to 50 people can use it for the same price, eliminating the hassle of purchasing seats for each user.

## Additional Storage Now on Sale

The Community Plan has also been officially released, and additional storage can now be purchased.

There is no basic fee, and storage can be changed monthly in units of 10 SU, starting from 30 SU or more, to the required size.

Furthermore, even with the Community Plan, purchasing SU will relax various restrictions.

## What is SU?

In Kumoy, storage capacity (SU: Storage Unit) and various data restrictions are set according to the contract plan and applied at the organizational level. A Storage Unit (SU) is a unit representing the data storage capacity in Kumoy. Uploaded vector data and created vector data consume this capacity.

For example, uploading administrative boundaries (nationwide) from the National Land Numerical Information to Kumoy consumes approximately 27 SU.

## Future Feature Releases

Currently, we are preparing for the release of two features: "Support for raster images and SVG fills" and "Web-based feature editing."

In the future, we also plan to enhance functions using new data formats and storage methods, such as raster data support and API integration, and to strengthen functions for web viewers, such as displaying attribute tables on the web and sequentially adding supported styles.

Kumoy aims to be a cloud service that allows QGIS users to use QGIS more comfortably, and we will continue to improve the service.
