Moët & Chandon, the champagne maison represented by MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Kanda-Jimbocho, Tokyo), celebrated moments of victory as the official champagne of Formula 1®. Under a 10-year global partnership between LVMH and Formula 1, the 2026 Formula 1® Aramco Japanese Grand Prix marked a triumphant occasion. Following its return as the official champagne in 2025, Moët & Chandon deepens its connection with the pinnacle of motorsport, carrying forward a legacy built on excellence and emotion. Victory is never achieved alone; it is a special moment of unity shared with the team and fans. On Sunday, March 29, 2026, the Japanese Grand Prix saw Kimi Antonelli and Mercedes-AMG Petronas seize their glory, with Moët & Chandon gracing the celebratory moment.
A Legacy of Celebration Carried Forward
The relationship between Moët & Chandon and Formula 1® is legendary, dating back to the 1950 Reims Grand Prix. It was then that Frédéric Chandon de Briailles presented a Jeroboam bottle (3L bottle) to the winning driver, giving birth to the ritual of celebrating victory moments: the "Celebration Jeroboam."
Deep within the historic cellars of the Moët & Chandon maison in Épernay, rare Jeroboam bottles are kept in reserve specifically for Formula 1®. Surrounded by silence and tradition, these bottles await their "moment of victory." Once delivered to the Grand Prix stage, the Jeroboam bottles are signed by the winning driver and shared with the team on the podium. At that moment, jubilation is unleashed. Each bottle holds layers of history, the signatures of past champions, and the memories of countless victories and achievements.
The meticulous actions of each driver resonate with the careful craftsmanship in champagne making, and the relentless dedication of the pit crew parallels the exceptional skill of the cellar masters. Both worlds are driven by passion, emotion, and the joy of sharing.
"As we enter our second season since returning to Formula 1®, our partnership is evolving beyond a mere 'comeback' into a relationship that will be passed down to the future. Both are strongly connected through the pursuit of precision and excellence. Moët & Chandon and Formula 1® celebrate the craftsmanship, teamwork, and passion that shape their respective worlds. Together, we will continue to elevate the podium into a 'shared moment of victory,' celebrating every achievement and triumph."
