Mitsuuroko Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takenobu Obinata; hereinafter "Mitsuuroko Holdings") announced that on March 23, 2026, it concluded a "Partnership Agreement for the Realization of a Decarbonized Society and Promotion of Circular Use of Local Resources" with Osaki Town, Kagoshima Prefecture (Mayor: Shinichi Nakano; hereinafter "Osaki Town"). Through this agreement, Mitsuuroko Holdings will leverage its specialized knowledge in decarbonization, accumulated through collaborations with various local governments, to promote various initiatives, including local production for local consumption of natural energy and the creation and utilization of environmental value, towards the realization of the town's "Circular Village Concept," thereby contributing to sustainable community development.

Background of the Agreement

Both parties have previously collaborated on creating a decarbonization roadmap and implementing regional economic circulation through decarbonization and greenhouse gas reduction, primarily in the agricultural sector, including rice cultivation using decarbonization farming methods, application of biochar to farmland, and dissemination of regional resource circulation models. This agreement aims to elevate these practices into a "model that can be expanded from the region to the nation and the world," and to achieve full-scale carbon neutrality through public-private collaboration towards Osaki Town's goal of realizing the "Circular Village Concept."
