Moominvalley Park, operated by Moomin Monogatari Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, President: Kiyoshi Mochizuki), will hold its annual popular summer event "Moomin Valley Water Play" from Friday, July 3, 2026, to Sunday, September 6, 2026. Additionally, at the adjacent Metsä Village, "Elf Forest - Metsä's Sea of Clouds 2026 -," a magical world of trees awakened by the power of the Nordic fairy "Elf," will be held concurrently.

Prior to the event, a preview for media representatives was held on Thursday, July 2, where three new programs debuting this summer were unveiled: "Summer Moran and Snow & Splash!" where you can get soaked with Moran, a monster that freezes everything; "Sunny Sunny Playtime!" featuring Moominvalley friends dressed in swimsuits and summer items, depicting a summer day by the sea; and "Snork Maiden's Downpour Squall," where a sudden deluge of water pours down on an island filled with Snork Maidens. Furthermore, "Moomin Valley Sea of Clouds," where the Moominvalley area is enveloped in a sea of clouds, was also revealed. Popular characters such as Moomintroll, Snork Maiden, Sniff, and Little My, dressed in swimsuits and summer items, appeared for a photo session.

Until September 30 (Wed), which includes the event period, a "Children's Support Campaign" will be held, offering a 1-day passport for 500 yen (tax included) to children aged 4 to high school. Make your summer outing to Moominvalley Park a great deal!

▶ Embark on an Adventure to an Island on the Lake! "Snork Maiden's Downpour Squall"

A new, thrilling water play spot that awakens your adventurous spirit, "Snork Maiden's Downpour Squall," has appeared on the "Terrace on the Lake," a massive 16m x 20m platform floating on Lake Miyazawa.

Across a wooden path where a pleasant breeze blows from the shade of the trees, a new mechanism allows for an unpredictable 360-degree water spray experience unique to this location. The music shifts from bright and cheerful to tense, like changing weather, and you can be drenched by a sudden downpour. This is the perfect spot for those who want to get soaked while excitedly anticipating when the downpour will occur.

A preview of a program perfect for the hot season was held at the all-weather theater "Emma's Theater." For a limited time during the event, Moomintroll in a swimsuit and other Moominvalley friends dressed in summer items will appear on different days.
