Moominvalley Park, operated by Moomin Story Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture; President & CEO: Kiyoshi Mochizuki), will host the 'Moominvalley Park Midsummer Festival' from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Adjacent Nordic lifestyle facility Metsä Village will simultaneously host 'Metsä Midsummer Festival 2026.' During this period, guests can enjoy the 'Midsummer Festival' across the entire Metsä area—Moominvalley Park and Metsä Village—celebrating the arrival of summer.

June 21 (Sun) marks the 'summer solstice,' the longest day of the year. In Nordic countries, where summer is short, the Midsummer Festival has long been cherished as an important event, comparable to Christmas.

Throughout the event period, Moominvalley Park's 'residents' (staff) will wear flower crowns—one of the essential Midsummer accessories—and welcome guests. Daily, limited-edition character stickers (3 designs) featuring bright, festive Midsummer artwork will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, Moomin Valley's beloved characters will appear in greeting sessions, adorned with flower crowns and festive attire.

At Metsä Village, the 'Lakeside Nordic Market' will take place on the weekend of the solstice—Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21—featuring Nordic-themed goods. On June 20 (Sat), a traditional Finnish 'kokko' (bonfire), symbolizing Midsummer, will be lit, marking a countdown to the solstice.
