The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is launching a poster contest for elementary school students in Tokyo, aiming to help children gain essential knowledge about the importance of infectious disease prevention.

We welcome your submissions.

1. Theme

"Infectious Disease Prevention I Can Do"

Posters should reflect personal experiences and actions taken by students, together with parents or other adults, to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

(Examples) - What I do to protect myself and those around me - Creative measures I take to prevent spreading infections

※ The Tokyo Infectious Disease Control Center (Tokyo iCDC) has created a handbook and family-oriented videos on everyday infection prevention. These can be used as reference materials when creating your artwork.

2. Eligibility

Lower Grade Division: 1st to 3rd grade students at elementary or special support schools in Tokyo (residents or enrolled)

Upper Grade Division: 4th to 6th grade students at elementary or special support schools in Tokyo (residents or enrolled)

※ Entries from students outside these grade levels will not be eligible for judging.

3. Poster Specifications and Materials

Use B2-sized drawing paper (approximately 39 cm × 54 cm) in portrait orientation.

Coloring and art materials are open to choice.

※ Submissions using landscape orientation will not be judged.

5. Submission Period

From Tuesday, July 21, Reiwa 8 to Wednesday, September 30, Reiwa 8 (postmark must arrive by the deadline)

6. Selection Process

For each division, one Grand Prize winner and up to five Excellence Award winners will be selected.

An award ceremony will be held during the iCDC Forum, scheduled for late January, Reiwa 9.

7. Use of Winning Entries

Winning posters will be used for public awareness campaigns, including panel displays at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
