Tokyo Bay Area Seeks Companies and Startups for Advanced Technology Implementation Projects

The "Tokyo Bay eSG Project," promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to build a sustainable future urban model in Tokyo's bay area, is launching "Tokyo Bay Innovation Field" to provide fields and support for technology development to startups and others, aiming to accelerate the social implementation of excellent advanced technologies.

We are now opening applications for the "Project Support Type," which supports initiatives for the social implementation of advanced technologies using the bay area, which is familiar to daily life and industry, as the stage. This project will provide demonstration fields (central breakwater) and support for project expenses.

We look forward to applications from ambitious startups and companies aiming to create new innovations from the bay area.

1. Overview

(1) Application Details

- Projects utilizing technologies in three fields: "Next-Generation Mobility/Robotics," "Cutting-Edge Renewable Energy," and "Environmental Improvement/Resource Recycling," which contribute to the realization of zero emissions and a circular economy in the bay area.

- Cross-disciplinary applications combining multiple technology fields are also possible.

(2) Number of Selected Projects

- Approximately 3 projects

(3) Eligibility

- Consortia formed by stakeholders* promoting the social implementation of projects.

*Technology development providers and businesses intending to utilize products and services.

(Example) Next-generation solar power generation technology provider and EV provider, etc.

- Consortia must include a startup company established less than 10 years ago.

(4) Implementation Area

Central breakwater area and surrounding bay area*

(5) Subsidy Period

From Reiwa 8 (2026) to the end of Reiwa 10 (2028)

(6) Subsidy Amount

Up to 80 million yen per project per fiscal year.
