The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting various measures for people with disabilities to realize a society where people with and without disabilities can live together in the community, respecting and supporting each other.

To deepen understanding of the Help Mark and Help Card, a variety of engaging programs will be held at events coinciding with "Help Mark Day" on July 20th. These include programs to learn specific ways to assist individuals wearing the Help Mark and to experience how to respond when presented with a Help Card.

Furthermore, intensive efforts will be made to promote and raise awareness of the Help Mark and Help Card, including illuminating the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and other structures in red and running SNS advertisements using videos.

Why not take a step towards mutual support, starting with "I can do something too," prompted by "Help Mark Day."

Reference: "Help Mark" and "Help Card"

The Help Mark is a mark that indicates that individuals, such as those using artificial joints or prosthetic legs, or those with internal organ disorders or intractable diseases, who may not be outwardly identifiable but require assistance or consideration, need such support from those around them.

The Help Card, which is also useful in disaster and emergency situations, is a card that people with disabilities can use to request understanding and support from those around them when they encounter difficulties during disasters or in daily life, by listing emergency contact information and necessary support details.
