The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting cycling, an environmentally friendly and healthy mode of transport, through various events under the "GRAND CYCLE TOKYO" initiative.
We will continue to deliver the appeal of cycling to Tokyo residents through a wide range of activities.
1. Overview of "THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA 2027"
Following the cycling road race held in the Tama region during the Tokyo 2020 Games, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is holding "THE ROAD RACE TOKYO" to carry forward its legacy. We are pleased to announce the details of the third "THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA 2027" event.

- Elite Men: Start Venue: Akirudai Park, Finish Venue: Ome City
- Elite Women: Start and Finish Venue: Ome City
*Courses (Elite Men/Women) and event programs (including events at finish venues and along the course) will be announced separately once finalized.
*A circuit course is planned within Ome City.

*The previous elite men's race was held as an UCI-sanctioned international cycling road race.
2. GRAND CYCLE TOKYO Ambassadors
To effectively promote GRAND CYCLE TOKYO and convey the appeal of cycling to a wide audience, Ami Inamura and Sosuke Takei will return as ambassadors this year, following their roles last year.

3. Announcement of Rainbow Ride PR Program Broadcast
A PR program showcasing cycling routes, including the Rainbow Bridge and Umi-no-Mori Park, as well as cycling-themed areas and landmarks in Tokyo, will begin broadcasting on Sunday, July 5th. Please tune in to discover the charm of "Cycling x Tokyo."
