Tokyo Launches Recruitment for Companies and Startups to Implement Advanced Technologies in the Bay Area

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, as part of the 'Tokyo Bay ESG Project' promoting the creation of a sustainable future urban model, is developing the 'Tokyo Bay Innovation Field' to accelerate the social implementation of excellent advanced technologies by providing startups and others with the necessary fields for technology development and offering support.

Starting this fiscal year, a new 'field provision type' of support has been established to flexibly assist businesses according to their technological development progress, from the prototyping and verification stages to the improvement of existing products. We are now accepting applications from startups and companies wishing to participate in this initiative.

We eagerly await proactive applications from startups and companies eager to engage in technological development and innovation on the stage of the Bay Area.

1. Overview

(1) Recruitment Details

Initiatives for the social implementation of new technologies through the utilization of fields in a wide range of areas, including zero emissions (including heat countermeasures) and the circular economy.

(2) Support Menu

[Temporary Use Type]

Supports technological demonstrations assuming short-term use of about one week, such as test runs for mobility.

[Permanent Installation Type]

Supports equipment verification for medium to long-term data acquisition until the end of the fiscal year, such as CO₂ capture devices.

(3) Number of Selected Applicants (Planned)

Approximately 20 cases

(4) Applicants

In principle, consortia of two or more entities (startups established less than 10 years ago may apply as a single entity).

* Membership in Tokyo Bay ESG Partner is a condition.

2. Recruitment Schedule (Overview)

(1) Temporary Use Type

- Application Acceptance: Starts June 10 (Wednesday) (Continuous recruitment)

* Recruitment will close once the planned number of selected applicants is reached.

- Document Screening: As needed

- Notification of Results: Approximately 1 month from application

(2) Permanent Installation Type

- Application Acceptance: July 1 (Wednesday) to July 21 (Tuesday) noon

- Document Screening (Primary): Scheduled for early July to early August

- Document Screening (Secondary): Scheduled for mid to late August

- Notification of Results: Scheduled for early September
