Launching the New 'Carbon Credit Creation Support Program'!

Interest in carbon credits is expected to increase further following the legalization of GX-ETS. On the other hand, the hurdle for credit creation remains high, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), due to a lack of know-how and the significant burden of certification costs.

Therefore, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is launching the new 'Carbon Credit Creation Support Program' to support SMEs in Tokyo with their decarbonization efforts by assisting with a portion of the costs for project registration and credit certification, thereby promoting credit creation and market revitalization.

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications from small and medium-sized enterprises in Tokyo that are engaged in creating carbon credits.

[Project Overview]
Eligible Businesses: Small and medium-sized enterprises with offices in Tokyo that are engaged in creating carbon credits.
Subsidized Items: 1. Project registration related to carbon credit creation; 2. Credit certification related to carbon credit creation.
Eligible Expenses: Consulting fees for project registration or credit certification and examination fees by third-party organizations.
Application Period: From Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to Wednesday, March 31, 2027 (Ends when the budget limit is reached).
Application Procedure: Please review the application requirements on the Cool Net Tokyo website and submit the necessary documents to the application reception office by the deadline.
