Applications Open for FY2026 'Tokyo Eco Builders' and 'Tokyo Eco Builders Award'!

Towards the realization of a Zero Emission Tokyo by 2050, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting various measures to improve energy efficiency and decarbonize buildings, which account for over 70% of CO2 emissions in the city. As a measure mainly targeting new housing, it implements the 'Building Environmental Reporting System,' which obliges major house makers to ensure insulation and energy-saving performance and install solar power generation facilities.

At this time, in addition to businesses subject to the reporting system, we are newly recruiting businesses working on the popularization of high environmental performance new housing as 'Tokyo Eco Builders,' and will expand opportunities for PR of high environmental performance housing through information dissemination in collaboration with the businesses.

Furthermore, businesses implementing particularly effective initiatives will be awarded the 'Tokyo Eco Builders Award Leading Company Prize,' and will be promoted to Tokyo citizens through tie-ups in public awareness contents produced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

■ Tokyo Eco Builders
Registration Requirements
1) Must have a supply track record of new buildings with a total floor area of less than 2,000㎡ (hereinafter referred to as 'target properties') for which a building confirmation certificate was issued in Tokyo between April 2025 and the end of March 2026.
2) Target properties must comply with the standards set in the Building Environmental Reporting System.
*For businesses not subject to the system, only compliance with insulation/energy-saving performance standards and renewable energy installation standards is required.

■ Tokyo Eco Builders Award Leading Company Prize
Among businesses registered as 'Tokyo Eco Builders,' we will honor those implementing effective initiatives for the decarbonization of buildings.
