Mercury Group, centered around Mercury Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku Nomura Building 23F, 1-26-2 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and Director: Tsuyoshi Akima), a human resources services company that enriches people's lives through the recruitment and development of diverse talent, held its 2026 entrance ceremonies at 14 locations nationwide from March 26 to 31, welcoming 945 new employees.
This year's entrance ceremony was held jointly with other group companies, designed as a ceremony where each new employee could be the protagonist.
### Overview of the 2026 Entrance Ceremony
<u>- Theme: "Create the future with inspiration"</u>
Continuing from last year, the ceremony was held under the theme "Create the future with inspiration." This theme embodies the hope that new employees, who have until now been on the receiving end of inspiration, will now become creators of inspiration themselves.
<u>- Ceremony Content</u>
The ceremony included the screening of an original opening movie, congratulatory speeches, declarations of intent by new employees, and the presentation of appointment letters. At venues across the country, new employees took their first steps as members of society, each renewing their determination.
<u>- Social Gathering</u>
After the ceremony, a social gathering was held. Time was set aside at each location for new employees to interact with each other and with senior employees.
As a commemorative gift for new employees, rice grown and harvested at a farm in Kisarazu by the "Mercury Nokatsu-bu" (Mercury Farming Activity Club), which employs people with disabilities, was packaged in one-go (approx. 150g) bags and presented. This heartfelt gift from fellow employees provided an opportunity to share Mercury's initiatives and values.
To celebrate the company's 20th anniversary, a special video project based on its history was screened. The video featured interviews with long-serving employees and those from the first batch of graduate hires, with their anecdotes presented in a quiz format. This sparked lively interaction at each venue, as new employees and senior staff collaborated in teams at their tables to answer the questions.
Furthermore, at the Tokyo venue, a manzai (Japanese stand-up comedy) performance was given by the comedy duo "Dr. Hercules" from Watanabe Entertainment. This was realized as part of Mercury's initiative to host live performances by young comedians at the "Theater Mercury Shinjuku," which it operates, and it enlivened the venue.
### April Dream Initiative
In support of the "April Dream Project" advocated by PR TIMES Inc., which aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams, new employees wrote their own dreams and goals on cherry blossom-shaped motifs.
The "Dream Cherry Blossoms," filled with each individual's resolve, decorated the venue, creating an environment that encouraged their new journey.
