Members Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akihiko Takano; TSE Prime: 2130; hereinafter "Members"), a digital implementation partner for DX sites, today announced the formulation of its new long-term vision "FUTURE VISION" towards 2035.
Overview of the New Long-Term Vision "FUTURE VISION": Challenging a Sustainable Future with "Digital for Hope."
[Vision Statement]
Digital for Hope. Unleashing the creativity of digital creators, transforming climate change into green growth, and population decline into individual prosperity.
[Value Proposition]
Imagine it. Make it. A digital implementation partner that shapes the ideal state of business and society through "human power."
Background of Formulation: Transition from Web Operations to "DX Site Support" and Recovery of Profitability, Expansion to 1,500 PMO Personnel
In 2020, Members set forth "VISION2030" and promoted "Establishment of the World's Best Digital Business Operations" (Note 1). However, due to the slowing growth of its core large-scale web operations business accompanying changes in the market environment and upfront investments in recruitment, profitability deteriorated. Consequently, in 2024, numerical targets were frozen, and a shift to a "DX Site Support Position" was initiated.
As a result, profitability has recovered, with the proportion of sales in the DX domain reaching 54.2% in the fiscal year ending March 2026. The number of PMO (Project Management Office) personnel, key to DX promotion, has also expanded to approximately 1,500 (Note 2). At this juncture, with the growth foundation in place, the new long-term vision "FUTURE VISION" has been formulated.
The Origin and the Goal: Pursuit of the Management Philosophy "Super Company" and an Organizational Image Modeled on the Ideal Community "Denmark"
Management Philosophy "Super Company"
The most important element is the foundational management philosophy, "Super Company." At Members, we aim to simultaneously achieve "contribution to society," "happiness of employees," and "company development" without compromise.
Amidst the astonishing evolution of technologies like AI, we believe that these technologies should be used not merely for corporate profit-seeking, but for the sustainable development and happiness of society as a whole – in other words, for "Hope."
The Ideal State: A Community Like Denmark
Denmark, in Northern Europe, embodies the ideal "Super Company" at a national level, balancing high labor productivity with world-class happiness.
While setting the happiness of its citizens as the goal, Denmark simultaneously achieves business results and contributes to solving social issues like climate change through a culture of trust and co-creation, design thinking, investment in human capital, diversity, technology, and leadership in decarbonization. We aim to become an organization like Denmark.
Materialities (Important Themes): Four Themes to Address, Including Climate Change and Declining Working Population
Based on our foundational philosophy and the social/market environment, we have identified four important themes to address.
Rapid Climate Change
Challenges include energy and food security, and the reconstruction of supply chains. It is necessary to accelerate the transition to a circular economy and behavioral changes towards decarbonized lifestyles through digital implementation.
Declining Working Population
Labor shortages are becoming severe in fields such as retail, logistics, factories, construction, healthcare, and nursing care. Dramatic improvements in productivity using AI and robotics are required.
Crisis of Social Fragmentation
Concerns exist regarding the replacement of human jobs by AI and technology, widening wealth gaps, and deepening social divisions. Companies are expected not only to pursue profits but also to play a role in connecting people and promoting collaboration to increase the overall happiness of society.
Astonishing Evolution of AI and Digital Technology
Massive energy demand arising from AI infrastructure investment, redefinition of jobs, and labor shifts are progressing. The need for transformation implementation is increasing for a future where AI and humans work side-by-side, utilizing technology for the prosperity of society and the happiness of people.
Value Creation Process: Strengthening Human Capital to Establishing "Digital Implementation Partner," Roadmap to Vision Realization
(1) Input
We will strengthen human capital and organizational capital through the establishment of five environments and systems, maximizing our value proposition as a "Digital Implementation Partner."
Recruitment and Development Power: Pursuing the best environment for people to grow and building a system where those who desire self-growth are attracted.
Place for People to Gather and Grow: Expanding the circle of learning throughout Japan and creating communities where people gather.
Company System: Expanding autonomous internal specialized organizations that foster diverse expertise.
Inclusive: Building an inclusive organizational culture where diverse talents resonate and amplify value.
Learning Agility: Embracing change and continuously updating skills at high speed.
(2) Position and Value Proposition
Leveraging three strengths, we will establish the position of "Digital Implementation Partner" that shapes the ideal state of business and society through "human power."
Power of Trust: A long-term partnership with clients based on trust, as if being an employee.
Power to Shape Technology: Transforming the value chain with AI and the latest technologies.
Power of Design and CSV: Elevating social issues into business value through deep human understanding and future orientation.
(3) Realization of FUTURE VISION
We will vigorously promote the value creation process, work alongside clients from within to achieve their digital transformation, and realize the FUTURE VISION "Digital for Hope."
Growth Targets (KGI) Towards 2035: Achieving 10 billion yen in operating profit and 1,000 impact case studies.
1,000 Impact Case Studies
We will create numerous CSV case studies with our clients, finding hope in solving issues related to materialities such as climate change and population decline.
10 Billion Yen in Operating Profit
We will become one of the leading companies in the industry and exert significant influence on society.
Comment from Akihiko Takano, Representative Director, President and CEO: Technology for Society's "Hope."
With the dramatic evolution of AI, technology should be used not for mere profit-seeking, but for "Hope" for a sustainable future.
Under our new vision, we will evolve into a "Digital Implementation Partner" that drives transformation from within our clients, entering their sites as if we were their employees, and transforming immense social challenges into opportunities for growth and hope. We will forge a bond of trust called "MEMBERSHIP" with you all and shape the ideal state together. Please look forward to the new challenge from Members.
