Launch of the ICT Learning Program 'The Power of Handwriting'

Pilot Corporation (President: Fumio Fujisaki) announces the launch of the ICT learning program "The Power of Handwriting" starting Wednesday, April 15. The program is provided through "Ready-to-use with Okulink Plus! Corporate/Organization Collaboration Content" on "Miraiseed," an ICT learning software for elementary and junior high schools deployed by Benesse Corporation (President: Daisuke Iwase, hereafter: Benesse). As the use of ICT in education accelerates, this program aims to help children proactively think about and deepen their understanding of the value of "handwriting" and its "power to convey." The newly launched ICT learning program "The Power of Handwriting" is a learning material planned under the supervision of teachers in the educational field, centered around Benesse, the ICT learning software provider. Utilizing our expertise as a writing instrument manufacturer, we have collaborated in the production of this program. In this program, by utilizing the sharing features of "Okulink Plus," an application within Miraiseed, students can experience learning with a focus on "handwriting." Through presentations and exchanging opinions, children compare handwritten and digital messages, paying attention to the differences in impressions they receive and how the messages are conveyed. Under our group purpose of "Connecting people and creativity," we will continue to support the "creativity" of the next generation by providing the value, appeal, and cultural experience of "handwriting" to the children who will lead the future, through activities including this collaboration.
