At 'Safi Spa Okinawa,' an indoor sauna and spa facility located at the Laguna Garden Hotel in Ginowan City, Okinawa, we are pleased to announce the implementation of a gender-rotation system for our 'Aka-Gara Sauna' and 'Yachimun Sauna' areas, effective Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This change allows guests to enjoy both unique sauna experiences by visiting on different days.

Starting April 1, 2026, we are introducing a new operational style where indoor saunas are rotated daily between genders. This allows guests to experience both the 'Aka-Gara Sauna' and 'Yachimun Sauna,' which were previously limited by gender. We invite you to enjoy a new sauna experience in these contrasting spaces that incorporate traditional Okinawan beauty.

'Aka-Gara Sauna': Inspired by the reddish-brown 'Aka-Gara' (red roof tiles) used in traditional Okinawan architecture, from old folk houses to the World Heritage site Shuri Castle. The sauna room design feels warm and powerful, reflecting Ryukyu culture in a modern style.

'Yachimun Sauna': Inspired by 'Yachimun' (Okinawan pottery). The room features a simple, warm texture and the deep blue luster of the ocean, reflecting the depth of water surfaces shimmering in the sunlight.

Supervised by 'Totonoe Oyakata' [Dai Matsuo], a legendary figure in the sauna world and founder of 'TTNE' and the 'Japan Sauna Society.' He is a global ambassador for Harvia and specializes in creating advanced sauna spaces that blend architecture and design.
