(Headquarters: Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture; President: Masahiro Tomizawa; hereinafter "Megane Ichiba"), which operates the "Megane Ichiba" chain nationwide, will begin offering "Glasses KeePer," a glasses-exclusive coating co-developed with the car coating brand KeePer, at all Megane Ichiba stores nationwide starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, as a new service to reduce daily stress caused by dirt and deterioration of glasses.

This is the first initiative in the eyewear industry to offer a glasses-exclusive coating developed in collaboration with KeePer.

Development Background For those who wear glasses daily, issues such as fingerprints, sebum stains, and deterioration due to ultraviolet (UV) rays are common challenges. "Glasses KeePer" was developed with the goal of resolving these daily frustrations and helping glasses remain in a comfortable, long-lasting condition.

Product Features 1. Anti-fouling performance to reduce maintenance burden It features anti-fouling properties that make it difficult for fingerprints, sebum, cosmetic residue, and dust to adhere. Even if they do adhere, they can be removed with just water and a light wipe, reducing the burden of daily care.

2. Suppresses deterioration caused by UV rays It suppresses discoloration and material degradation caused by UV rays, maintaining the beauty of the glasses from the time of purchase for a longer period. In addition to maintaining aesthetic quality, it also contributes to extending the product's lifespan.

3. Safety confirmed by a third-party organization Assuming long-term contact with the skin, safety tests were conducted by a third-party organization (CERI). The impact on the human body and various materials has been verified.

4. In-store application service This service is provided at the time of purchase of glasses or sunglasses, and the application time is approximately 10 minutes. Store staff perform the application to ensure a consistent finish.
