MEEQ Starts Offering "eSIM" on the KDDI Network for MVNE Services

MEEQ Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Executive President: Ryuta Minemura; hereinafter "the Company") started providing eSIMs on the KDDI network on April 7, 2026, in its MVNE service that supports MVNO operators.

The company plans to offer eSIMs on the SoftBank network in the future, which is expected to make eSIMs available on all three carrier networks (NTT Docomo, SoftBank, and KDDI).

About "eSIM" Unlike conventional SIM cards inserted into devices, eSIM is a system where subscriber identification information (profile) necessary for communication is remotely written to a SIM built into the device in advance. Because it eliminates the need to issue and deliver physical SIM cards, immediate activation is possible, leading to shorter lead times for service provision and improved operational efficiency.

*An eSIM-compatible device is required to use eSIM.

Target KDDI network for MVNOs (Voice SIM / Data SIM with SMS / Data SIM)

How to Use Prior application is required for MVNOs wishing to offer eSIMs. For details, please contact our sales representatives. Also, please note that implementation involves changes to the inter-operator interface. Modifications to the MVNO's system will also be required.
