This new role will commence operations in August 2026.
The new role, "Applied AI Developer," defines a new type of professional who creates significant results using AI, and it has been established to fairly reward such achievements. It targets engineers, designers, and product managers with exceptional skills, experience, and track records, and certification will be granted after review by a Senior Vice President (SVP).
Currently, the market value of engineers who can achieve discontinuous improvements in productivity using AI is rapidly increasing worldwide. Therefore, for this role, bonuses significantly exceeding general standards and performance-based RS (Restricted Stock) will be granted based on the achievement of semi-annual goals, with the total annual income reaching over 60 million yen in cases of top performance.

Background of AI Utilization and Establishment of New Role at Medley
Medley has been utilizing generative AI to improve productivity in the healthcare field and reduce the workload of medical professionals, implementing AI features in products, streamlining engineering processes, and improving operational efficiency.
On the management side, in March 2025, Shin Takeuchi was appointed CHRO, and leveraging his CTO experience, he worked on articulating the characteristics of our organization and fostering collaboration between the HR organization and the CTOs of each platform division and the AI Promotion Office. In January 2026, Yutaka Tokimasa, who has experience in HR leadership at global companies, took over as CHRO. Currently, the CHRO, who is also an SVP, and the CAXO (Chief AI Transformation Officer) are collaborating to transform the organization into a next-generation structure based on AI. Furthermore, in March 2026, management discussions were held, confirming a policy to flexibly change organizational structures and positions while maintaining and improving the value provided to customers as an AI tech company.

Definition and Certification System for Applied AI Developer
The job definition for Applied AI Developer is as follows:
Design and build "systems" where AI operates autonomously and integrate them into processes.
Create discontinuous results through the autonomy of these systems.
Transform entire projects, organizations, and processes using AI, initiated by oneself.
For example, this includes leading the entire development process for a business and building a system where the development and operational structure, based on AI utilization, continuously improves autonomously.
The Applied AI Developer role is open to engineers, designers, and product managers at a certain "Job Size" or above. Due to the significant business impact of this position, SVPs will conduct reviews based on past achievements and results for certification.

Compensation System for Applied AI Developer
Base salary will be the same as for engineers, designers, and product managers of the same Job Size. However, semi-annually, performance against goals agreed upon with SVPs will be evaluated, and bonuses and performance-based RS (Restricted Stock) will be awarded.
By providing bonuses for short-term results achieved through AI autonomy and additional RS for contributions to the company's medium- to long-term growth, individuals who achieve above a certain level of results will earn a total annual income significantly exceeding that of general engineers, designers, and product managers. In cases of top performance, the total annual income will exceed 60 million yen.
