Mediphone Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Mayumi Sawada; hereinafter 'Mediphone'), which provides remote medical interpretation for medical institutions and supports corporate health management, is pleased to announce that its information dissemination media for medical institutions, 'medico+', has celebrated its first anniversary. In conjunction with this, a commemorative 1st-anniversary issue will be published in mid-May 2026.
Started as a place to share knowledge in the medical field
'medico+' was launched on April 24, 2025, as a new information dissemination media for medical institutions. In recent years, in addition to staffing shortages and increasing complexity of operations, themes such as responding to foreign patients and promoting DX have rapidly expanded in the medical field. However, the know-how and problem-solving efforts cultivated by each medical institution in the field tend to be accumulated individually, and opportunities for cross-sectional sharing have been limited.
Against this backdrop, 'medico+' is a free magazine format that medical professionals can easily pick up, providing real-world initiatives and practical information useful for their work. It is developed as a media for sharing knowledge among medical institutions, responding to needs such as 'What initiatives are other medical institutions taking?' and 'What hints can be utilized in our hospital?'
From 1 year of accumulated knowledge, to a platform for mutual learning
To date, 'medico+' has covered themes directly related to the practical work of medical institutions, such as case studies of medical institutions' initiatives and hints for problem-solving, as well as handling foreign patient acceptance and establishing internal systems.
In 2025, issues were published on the following themes, focusing on areas of high interest in the medical field:
・No.1 (April/May issue): Countermeasures for medical institutions with many foreign patients
・No.2 (July/August issue): The forefront of hospital DX
・No.3 (September/October issue): Case studies of foreign patient response in emergency medical care
・No.4 (November/December issue): Management strategies for medical institutions
Readers, who are medical professionals, have provided feedback such as 'Specific initiatives of other hospitals are helpful' and 'It seems useful as a hint for on-site judgment and operation.' It is also being utilized as an information sharing material within hospitals, thus broadening its support as a practical media.
