The monthly medical information magazine "Concent," first published in 2008, provides medical information useful for hospital management to hospital administrators and doctors, covering trends in healthcare administration, pharmaceuticals, and medical device companies. Our company also hosts the "Association for the Future of Medicine in Japan," a regular study group where members of parliament, heads of medical institutions, and executives from medical-related companies gather to exchange information on the various issues facing Japanese medicine. **【Theme】 The Challenge of Pediatric Liver Transplantation from Japan and the Future of Transplant Medicine**
**【Lecturer】 Dr. Mureo Kasahara, Hospital Director, National Center for Child Health and Development** Dr. Kasahara, who boasts a world-class number of surgeries and a high survival rate in pediatric living donor liver transplantation, built the center's liver transplant program from scratch and has raised Japan's liver transplant system to an international standard. In this lecture, he will reflect on the unique path of transplant medicine in Japan, where organ donation after brain death is limited, and propose a sustainable system for an era of declining birthrates. Furthermore, he will introduce Japan's international development efforts, such as human resource training and medical support overseas.
